One of the tasks a network administrator like you face is to ensure
that all the nodes in your LAN are synchronized to the same time.
This becomes an issue when people accidentally change the time zone
/ time or date in the system and all the transactions (emails, database
transactions) start having the changed time stamp which in general
causes various problems to users of network as well as to system
and network administrators.
Netman provides a mechanism for the end user to synch the time to
a LAN time. Once this option is chosen the system time in the node
never goes out of synch. Even if the system data / time/ zone is
altered by an end user the nodes get re-synchronized with the network
mtime in a matter of minute.
Internet sure has shrunk our planet in to a global village. Increasingly
project collaborations happen across various time zones and it has
become imperative for team members to know the current time for
the team members, customers and partners. One neat feature Netman
client provides to it's users is to make them know the current time
in various cities across the world. With this option enabled all
the end user needs to do is to position their mouse cursor over
the netman icon displayed in the task tray and they immediately
get the current time in various cities in the world.
